Why visitors look outside the resort
Travelers often search for local nail options because they want clearer pricing, a specific technique, a more personal appointment or simply another choice beyond the hotel spa. Going off-property can make sense, but it should be planned like any other local appointment.
Start by checking the exact location, current service menu, recent work and how you will get there and back. “Punta Cana” covers a large area, so a salon name alone does not tell you how close it is to your resort.
Choose by service, not only by distance
If you want short natural nails, Gel Polish, Rubber Base or Builder Gel, look for a technician who clearly shows that kind of work. If you want traditional acrylic, choose a technician who explicitly lists acrylic rather than assuming every nail tech offers it.
Nails by Masiel focuses on manicure services, natural nails, Gel Polish, Rubber Base, Builder Gel, Soft Gel Tips and Polygel / Acrigel. Traditional acrylic is not currently listed on Masiel’s published menu.
Confirm English if that matters to you
If you are visiting from the U.S. and want to explain shape, length or design details in English, confirm that before booking. Masiel serves clients in both English and Spanish.
Sending a reference photo before the appointment can reduce confusion even when you and the technician speak the same language.
Plan transportation before you leave the resort
Wait for the appointment to be confirmed, save the exact map pin and check current travel time shortly before leaving. If you are unfamiliar with the area, ask your hotel or host about transportation options rather than improvising after the appointment.
Masiel’s appointment location is in Pueblo Bávaro. Use the exact map destination instead of telling a driver only “Pueblo Bávaro.”
Know the price before you go
Ask for the total for the actual service you want, including design extras or removal if applicable. Masiel’s current published menu works out to roughly US$5 for a Basic Manicure, US$7 for Gel Polish, US$8 for Manicure + Gel Polish, US$9 for Rubber Base and US$11 for Builder Gel.
